The Technology for Formic Acid Plant has been supplied by Kemira OY, Finland. GNFC produces high quality Formic Acid through Methyl Formate Route.
Capacity :
GNFC produces approximately 20,000 MTPA of Formic Acid 85% and is the largest manufacturer of Formic Acid 85% in the country.

Uses
- Used as a coagulant for obtaining rubber from latex.
- As an auxiliary for delining and pickling of fur, fixing of dyes-in leather industry and in processing in textile industry.
- As an intermediate in manufacturing of basic drugs, plant protection agents, pesticides, vulcanisation accelerators, antioxidants and cleaning agents.
- Used in preservation of silage and grams.
- Used in electroplating and as a solvent as well.

Domestic
- Formic Acid is available in 35 kg (net) HDPE carboys and in Stainless Steel tankers.
Export
- Available in 35 kg HDPE carboys and 250 kg HDPE drums.
- In bulk it is also available in 20-23 MTs ISO tanks
- All the packings are UN/IMDG approved.
